Alcobendas is growing with Valgrande’s urban development, a new area of the city that expands the available housing supply, improves public services, and protects the area’s natural environment.

Valgrande is a new development designed to complement the urban development of Alcobendas (Madrid) and to expand the range of services available to residents, as well as providing all kinds of facilities and leisure areas for the town’s residents.
The project includes the construction of 8,600 homes, 54 per cent of which will be social housing, with the aim of meeting the demand for new homes from groups such as young people and broad sections of the middle classes.

This development protects and enhances the Monte de Valdelatas by creating a buffer zone that makes it easier to access on foot and by bicycle. In total, the project involves the creation of almost 600,000 m² of green spaces.
This initiative has been launched with the aim of becoming a model of urban sustainability, innovation, energy efficiency and the environmentally sound management of resources and waste.
