Alcobendas is growing with Valgrande’s urban development, a new area of the city that expands the available housing supply, improves public services, and protects the area’s natural environment.

Valgrande is an all-new neighbourhood which aims to complete the urban development in Alcobendas and expand the offer of services, facilities and recreation areas available to all of the city’s residents.
The project involves the creation of 8,600 homes, 55% of which will be established as social housing, in order to provide a solution to the demand for new homes by groups such as young people and the middle classes.
This development protects and highlights the importance of the Monte de Valdelatas green area and woodlands by creating a rural-urban fringe facilitating access on foot and by bike. In all, it includes the creation of nearly 600,000 m² of green areas.
This action arises out of the will to become an example of urban sustainability, innovation, energy efficiency and ecological resource and waste management.
